CHAPTER 297.

 

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 297 of Article 56 of

 

the Public General Laws of Maryland so far as the same ap-

 

plies to Prince George's County, title "Hawkers and Ped-

 

dlers," as amended by the Acts of the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, 1892, Chapter 410, and Acts of 1898, Chapter 183,

 

be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with

 

amendments to read as follows :

 

SECTION I. Be ft enacted by the General Assembly of Mary--

"Hawkers and

land, That Section 27 of Article 56 of the Public General

Peddlers."

George's County, title "Licenses," sub-title "Hawkers and

 

Peddlers," as amended by the Acts of the General Assembly

 

of Maryland of 1892, Chapter 410, and Acts of 1898, Chapter

 

183, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with

 

amendments so as to read as follows :

 

27. No hawker or peddler shall buy for sale out of the State

Peddlers, etc.,

or buy to trade, barter or sell or offer to trade, barter or sell

to secure a
license.

within the State, and no person or persons or corporation not

 

residents of the State of Maryland shall offer for sale by

 

agents or otherwise within the State to consumers any goods,

 

wares or merchandise by sample or otherwise, either with the

 

purpose of an immediate sale and delivery, or to take orders

 

with intent to make future sales and deliveries, unless such

 

hawkers and peddlers, person or persons or corporation shall

 

first obtain from the clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince

 

George's County a license as provided by the Acts of the Gen-

 

eral Assembly of Maryland of 1892, Chapter 410, in so far
