SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

petent county official. The police magistrate in said Fifth

 

Election District shall have power to summon and hold a coro-

 

ner's inquest only by direction of said physician, upon his cer-

 

tificate, which shall be sufficient in all cases. The said phy-

shall be reimbursed for any incidental expenses that he may

 

incur, when proper vouchers therefor shall be filed with the

 

said County Commissioners ; provided, that after this Act shall

 

go into effect the County Commissioners shall not allow nor

 

pay the police magistrate of said Fifth Election District any

 

other compensation than the salary attached to said office, and

 

that he shall continue to discharge all the duties required of

 

him otherwise prior to the passage of this Act, both as magis-

 

trate or as coroner.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

 

from the date of its passage.
