CHAPTER 283.
|

AN ACT to pay Charles E. Remsen for losses incurred by the
|
 
|
|
slaughtering of cattle infected with tuberculosis, which
|
 
|
|
slaughtering was caused by the action of the health officers
|
 
|
|
of the State.
|
 
|
|
WHEREAS. On the eighth and ninth days of April, 1903,
|

State of Maryland, twenty-eight of which, after an autopsy,

were found to be sound, and were sold for beef ; and

WHEREAS, The said cattle were slaughtered to prevent the
|

THEREFORE, In order to render justice, preserve equity and

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
