of his or their duties shall be liable, upon conviction, to punish-

 

ment in the same manner and to the same extent, as if he or

 

they had interfered or hindered a constable; and he shall per-

 

form all such other duties as are, or shall be imposed upon him

 

by law, ordinance or by order of the Town Commissioners,

 

and he shall pay over all fines and fees that may be collected by

 

him to the Treasurer monthly.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

 

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 192.

 

AN ACT to repeal Section 133G of the Code of Public Local

 

Laws, title "Queen Anne's County," new sub-title "County

 

Treasurer," as enacted by Chapter 310 of the Acts of the

 

General Assembly of Maryland of the year 1902, and to

 

re-enact said Section 133G with amendments, and to repeal

 

all laws inconsistent with this Act.

 

SECTION T. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

 

land, That the Code of the Public Local Laws, title "Queen

Treasurer of

Anne's County," new sub-title "County Treasurer," Section

hereby repealed and said Section 1330 re-enacted as follows:

 

133G. The County Treasurer shall furnish all the stamps

 

and stationery he may require, and shall receive an annual

 

salary of eighteen hundred dollars, and the further sum of

 

twenty-five cents for each person's property assessed by him,

 

and all the checks drawn by any County Treasurer shall be

 

countersigned by the President of the Board of County Com-

 

missioners, but if the President of the Board of County Com-

 

missioners shall be absent from any meeting of said Board then
