CHAPTER 129.

AN ACT placing at the disposal of the Board of Public
|
 
|
Works of this State, Hon. Thos. H. Robinson, chairman
|
 
|
of the Finance Committee of the Senate of Maryland, and
|
 
|
the Hon. Edward G. Goslin, chairman of the Ways and Means
|
 
|
Committee of the House of Delegates of Maryland, the
|
 
|
sum of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the
|
 
|
relief of cases of destitution and need caused by the fire in
|
 
|
Baltimore of February 7 and 8, 1904; and for the payment
|
 
|
out of said money of the militia of the State who were called
|
 
|
out for service in Baltimore immediately after said fire.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
land, That the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars
|

the two committees above named in expending the said money
|
 
|
for the purpose aforesaid shall employ such persons or agen-
|
 
|
cies as they may think best for successfully relieving those
|
 
|
in need. And the Comptroller of the State is hereby author-
|
 
|
ized from time to time to draw his warrants upon the Treas-
|
 
|
urer of the State to the order of such persons and in such
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Board of Public Works

and the chairmen of the two committees above named shall
