the construction and laying of said sewers and connections,

 

subject to the conditions and terms in the third section of said

 

ordinance provided; in consideration of which permission,

 

privileges and franchise, it was in the said ordinance pro-

 

vided and agreed that the said Mayor and Council should

 

have the privilege of draining the water from said ave-

 

nue into the said main sewer (subject to the conditions rela-

 

tive thereto in Section 4 of said ordinance mentioned); and

 

with the further right to the said Mayor and Council (at their

 

option) at any time of buying the said sewers on the terms and

 

conditions in said Section 4 provided.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

 

land, That the said William J. Staton, L. E. Williams, N. T.

 

Fitch and A. A. Gillis, all residents of said Salisbury, in the

 

county of Wicomico and State of Maryland, and their associ-

 

ates, successors and assigns, be and they are hereby created

 

and made a body corporate under and by the name of the

 

"Camden Sewer Company, of Salisbury, Md., " and by that

 

name shall have perpetual succession and shall be capable to

 

sue and be sued and defend in any court of law or equity; to

 

make and use a common seal and alter the same at pleasure;

 

to receive and make contracts, and generally to do every other

 

act or thing not inconsistent with law which may be necessary

 

or proper to promote the objects, designs and purposes of the

said corporation hereby created, which are hereby declared to

see fit for the privilege of making connections with either of

 

such sewers, and generally to exercise, use and enjoy the rights,

 

privileges, franchise and purposes mentioned, granted and im-

 

posed by or in the said ordinance; subject, however, to the

 

right of user and of purchase aforesaid in said ordinance speci-

 

fied, the same to be exercised in accordance with the provisions

 

thereof in that behalf, and the principal office of the said corpo-

 

ration shall be in the said town of Salisbury.

 

SEC, 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of said

 

corporation shall be two thousand seven hundred ($2, 700) dol-
