SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all temperance legislation,

commonly called local option laws, and all fence laws and other
|

Island District No. 14 shall be and continue in force in said

territory until repealed by law.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That in the allotment of County
|

Commissioners for said county and of tax collectors for said
|
 
|
county as it now exists by law, the said Deal's Island Dis-
|
 
|
trict No. 14 shall be included with St. Peter's District No. 2,
|
 
|
Dame's Quarter District No. 11 and Tangier District No.
|
 
|
9 in said allotment hereafter to be made: and that the Sup-
|
 
|
ervisors of Elections of Somerset County are hereby author-
|

ized and required to appoint officers of registration and other
|
voters in
new district.

election officials as in other districts for said new district,
|
 
|
and to furnish new books of registration for the use of said
|
 
|
officers in said new district and to make all necessary rules
|
 
|
and regulations for the transcribing of the names of qualified
|
 
|
voters residing in the territory of said new district from the
|
 
|
registration books formerly in use in Tangier District No. 9
|
 
|
to the said new books of registration, and may require the
|
 
|
officers of registration in said Tangier District No. 9, in which
|
 
|
the territory of Deal's Island District No. 14 is included,
|
 
|
to meet for that purpose prior to the beginning of the first
|
 
|
registration hereafter, in which case said officers shall be
|
 
|
entitled to be paid for their services the usual compensation.
|
 
|
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|
 
|
from the dale of its passage.

CHAPTER 75.
|
 
|
AN ACT to provide for the building of a court house in
|
 
|
Somerset County and to authorize, empower and direct the
|
 
|
County Commissioners of Somerset County to borrow money
|
 
|
on the credit of the county for the purpose of building of
|
 
|
same, and constructing therein the necessary vaults for
|
 
|
the preservation of the records and court papers of the Or-
|
 
|
phans' Court and Circuit Court, the County Commissioners
|
 
|
and the Board of School Commissioners, and to issue bonds
|
 
|
for the payment of same and to levy taxes on the assessable
|
 
|
property of said county to redeem such bonds and to pay
|
 
|
the interest thereon.
