LAWS OF MARYLAND.

 

title "Harford County, " sub-title "Taxes and County Treas-

 

urer, " as enacted by the Act of 1900, Chapter 529, be and the

 

same is repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

 

262C. Immediately after the first day of February in each

 

year the Treasurer shall make up a list of all delinquent tax

 

payers and the amounts for which they are respectively in

 

arrears, and if the said taxes are not paid on or before the 20th

 

day of said month, he shall immediately thereafter cause the

 

same to be published once a week for two successive weeks in

 

two county newspapers of large general circulation throughout

 

said county and charge a proportionate part of the cost thereof

 

to each of said delinquents. Should any of said taxes so in

 

arrears continue unpaid after such advertisement, the Treas-

 

urer shall make up a further list of all taxes due and in

 

arrears, which list shall contain the names of the person or per-

 

sons assessed, with the property upon which taxes are so due

 

and in arrear, and a brief description of the property, the dis-

 

trict of its location, and such references to convey arrears as

 

will render the same easy of identification, and the amount of

 

the tax levied and in arrear thereon, with the interest and costs

and arrear-
ages.

to which list shall be appended a notice that if said taxes are not

 

paid on or before the second Monday in April, next ensuing,

 

together with the accrued interest thereon and proportional

 

cost of advertising and fees, the Treasurer will proceed at

 

ten o'clock A. M. on that day, at the Court House in said county

 

to offer each and every of said parcels of land, premises or

 

other property for sale to the highest bidder for cash, which

 

said list and notice shall be published in two newspapers of

 

general circulation and printed in said county for four suc-

 

cessive weeks prior to the first Monday in April, and on said

 

second Monday in April said Treasurer shall proceed to sell

 

any and all such pieces or parcels of land and premises and per-

 

sonal property upon which said taxes, interest, cost, and fees

 

shall not have been paid, and shall continue such sale each sec-

 

ular day, legal holidays excepted, from ten o'clock A. M. until

 

three o'clock P. M. until every parcel and all said property shall

 

have been offered.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That all Acts or parts of Acts in-

Repealed.

consistent with the provisions of this Act be and the same are

 

hereby repealed.

 

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

 

from the elite of its passage.
