for shall have been reported to the Mayor and City Council

 

of Cumberland as completed, and all amounts allowed by

 

said Commissioners herein as damages, if any, and all costs

 

attending the laying out and extension of the said street and

 

the grading, paving, or macadamizing, sewering or otherwise

 

improving the same, shall be payable by the Mayor and City

 

Council of Cumberland, and it shall be the duty of the Mayor

to settle for
damages.
