SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
|

a stone pike road over the county road between Wheaton Post-

office and the town of Kensington, in Montgomery County, not

less than twelve feet in width, before the first day of October,

in the year 1904; said road to be covered with broken stone
|
|
 
|
which will go through a two-inch ring, and to be rolled before
|
|
 
|
opened for travel ; and after completion thereof shall be main-
|
|
 
|
tained and kept in order by said County Commissioners as a
|
|
 
|
public road and highway.

|
 
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in order to providethe neces-
|
|
 
|
sary funds for the construction of said road, and the expense in-
|
|
 
|
cident thereto, the said County Commissioners be and they are
|
|

to issue coupon bonds therefor, under the corporate seal of said

County Commissioners, signed by the president of the Board

of County Commissioners and countersigned by the clerk there-

of, in sums not less than one hundred dollars nor more than
|
|
 
|
two hundred dollars, bearing interest from the date of issue
|
|
 
|
thereof at the rate of five per centum, payable semi-annually ;
|
|
 
|
which bonds shall be exempt from all taxation whatsoever, and
|
|
 
|
shall have printed on them a distinct reference to the Act au-
|
|
 
|
thorizing the issue.

|
 
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That -said bonds shall be re-
|
|

deemable as follows, that is to say, five hundred dollars thereof

in one year from the date of their issue, and thereafter an-
|

nually five hundred dollars each and every year, until the whole
|
|

amount so issued shall have been fully paid; and to this end

they shall be issued in six serials and redeemable in their proper
|
|
 
|
order ; any said bonds shall be sold after due advertisement, at
|
|
 
|
public or private sale, in the discretion of the County Com-
|
|
 
|
missioners; provided, however, that none of said bonds shall
|
|
 
|
be sold for less than par.
|
|
 
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the County Commission-
|
|
 
|
ers shall cause to be levied upon and collected from the taxable
|
|
 
|
property of the Fifth Collection District of said county, as a
|
|

bonds as they severally mature, and the interest thereon, as
|
|
 
|
the same shall become due ; and the said tax shall be collected
|
|
 
|
in like manner as other taxes levied in said county are col-
|
