SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
|
Brooklyn
Water and
|
land, That all the rights and powers granted to the Brooklyn
|
|
Light Com-
pany.
|
Water and Light Company by the Act of 1896, Chapter 173,
|
|
 
|
be and the same are hereby regranted and confirmed, and said
|
|
 
|
Act is re-enacted, with the exception of Section 6 thereof,
|
|
 
|
which Section 6 is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
|
|
 
|
as follows :
|
|
Right to issue
|
6. It shall be lawful for the said company to issue its bonds
|
|
bonds and
|
or obligations in sums of not less than fifty dollars, and payable
|
|
dispose of
same.
|
with interest at such time or times as the president and direc-
|
|
 
|
tors of said company may appoint, and to sell and dispose of
|
|
 
|
the same, and to provide for the security and payment of the
|
|
 
|
same by mortgage or otherwise; said bonds not to exceed the
|
|
 
|
sum of two hundred thousand dollars ; and also that it shall and
|
|
 
|
may be lawful for the said company to issue its certificates of
|
|
 
|
stock, and apply the same, if they shall find it expedient to do
|
|
 
|
so, in payment of the expenses of the construction and equip-
|
|
 
|
ment of said works or other liabilities of said company. The
|
|
