provisions of this Act for the use in transporting loads upon

the public highways of Caroline County except such vehicles
|
 
|
|
be equipped with tires the width of which shall be not less than
|
 
|
|
twice the diameter of the axle if such axle be of solid iron
|
 
|

or steel and of two inches or less in diameter. And if such
|
 
|
|
axle of solid iron or steel shall be over two inches in diameter,
|
 
|
|
then such vehicle shall be equipped with tires the width of
|
 
|
|
which shall be not less than two and one-half the times the
|
 
|
|
diameter of the axle of such vehicle, and if said vehicle shall
|
 
|
|
have nickel steel axles or axles made of some material which
|
 
|
|
is rated stronger than the steel or iron axle now in common
|
 
|
|
use or wood or thimble skin axles, or axles of any material
|
 
|
|
not herein specified, then the width of the tires on such vehi-
|
 
|
|
cles so equipped shall be of the same width as the tires on the
|
 
|
|
vehicles described in this Act of the same rated capacity as

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any non-resident of Caro-

line County transacting or carrying on any business in said

county which shall result in his keeping in said county any

by the County Commissioners to do so, and failing to comply
|

with such notice within the time specified, such person or per-
|

sons shall be subject to the penalties hereinafter provided for
|
 
|
|
in violation of this Act; provided that nothing in this section
|
 
|
|
contained shall apply to wagons or other vehicles which were
|
 
|
|
in use before the passage of this Act.
|
 
|
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any resident of Caroline
|
 
|
|
County or non-resident as described in the preceding section
|
 
|
|
who shall repair or cause to be repaired any vehicle of the de-
|

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That none of the provisions of
