the passage of this Act to be held in said City of Cumberland,

there shall be placed upon the ballot used the words "For a
|
 
|
paid fire department," and "Against a paid fire department,"
|
 
|
and if a majority of the legal voters voting upon said question
|
 
|
shall vote for a paid fire department said bonds shall issue,
|
 
|
and if a majority shall vote against said paid fire department,
|
 
|
then said bonds shall not issue.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said bonds shall be denomi-
|
 
|
nated Fire Department Bonds of Cumberland, Maryland, and
|

first day of April and October in each and every year said

tions of one hundred dollars each, to be signed by the Mayor

1904, and the coupons for the interest on said bonds shall

be receivable by the collector of taxes for said city in payment

of city taxes, and said bonds shall be exempt from all county
|
 
|
and municipal taxation.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said bonds shall bear interest
