to be by him delivered to the Judge of the District Court of the United
States for the District of Maryland.

        On motion of Mr. Ricaud, the following Form of Credential was
then read, the blank filled with the name of Jos. H. Nicholson, and
adopted.

    State of Maryland, Towit:

                        To All Persons whom it may concern.

        Know ye, that we, the Electors of President and Vice President
of the United States of America, duly elected in and for the
State of Maryland, having met at the City of Annapolis, on the day
prescribed by the Constitution and Laws of the United States to perform
the Trust reposed in us and having voted, and made out in due form
Lists of the votes given, and the Persons voted for; and having confidence
in ______________________ Esquire, of the City of Annapolis, have
appointed, and, by these presents, do appoint and authorise him to
deliver the same to the President of the Senate of the United States
at Washington.
        In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our Hands and
Seals this Seventh day of December in the year one Thousand Eight
Hundred and Thirty six.
