119 President of the United States of America for the four years from and after the third day of March then ensuing, that we then and there in pursuance of the Constitution and Laws of the United States proceeded to vote by ballots, for Vice President of the United States of America and on counting the ballots it was ascertained that Joseph Lane of the State of Oregon received Eight votes for Vice President of the United States of America. The annexed Lists of the said persons, with the votes given to the same, are hereby returned by us the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States, in and for the State of Maryland in pursuance of the Constitution and Laws of the United States as having the aforesaid number of votes. Done at the City of Annapolis on the First Wednesday of December being the fifth day of the said month, in the year one Thousand Eight hundred and sixty. In Witness whereof we hereto subscribe our hands and affix our seals. List of the Person voted for as President of the United States of America by the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States in and for the State of Maryland. John C. Breckenridge of the State of Kentucky, received Eight votes for President of the United States of America. We hereby certify that the above is a true list, of the Person voted for by the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States in and for the State of Maryland, and of the number of votes by him received. Witness our Hands and Seals this Fifth day of December, Eighteen Hundred and Sixty. |
