List of the Person voted for as Vice President of the United
States of America by the Electors of President and Vice President
of the United States in and for the State of Maryland.
                    Joseph Lane of the State of Oregon received Eight
votes for Vice President of the United States of America.
            We hereby certify that the above is a true list of the Person
voted for by the Electors of President and Vice President of the
United Sates in and for the State of Maryland and of the number
of votes by him received.
                    Witness our hands and seals this Fifth day of December
Eighteen hundred and sixty.








    To the three certificates prepared by the Secretary agreeably to the aforegoing
Form, the Secretary attached severally one of the certificates furnished
by the Executive authority of this State, in obedience to the act of Congress
1792, chap. 109.
                The said certificates were then signed and sealed by the Electors,
as were also the Lists, agreeably to the aforegoing Form.   They were
then folded and sealed and addressed to " The President of the
Senate of the United States, Washington" with the following memorandum
on each certificate to each of which each Elector attached
his name"  Certificate of the Election of President and Vice President
of the United States of America in and for the State of Maryland
December fifth 1860.
                        Whereupon the President delivered one of the certificates
and Lists, prepared signed and sealed addressed and endorsed as aforesaid,
to James T. Franklin (one of the Electors) to be by him deposited in
the Post Office in the City of Annapolis, also one other of the said
certificates and Lists to Joshua Vansant, (another of the Electors)
to be conveyed and delivered by him to the Judge of the District
Court of the United States for the District of Maryland.
                        The following form of credentials was read and adopted
and on motion of Mr. Ritchie the blank filled with the name
of William Byrn.
