    LI.

                                LAWS of MARYLAND.

following; that is to say, the sheriff of Anne-Arundel county shall and he is
hereby enjoined to receive all such public letters and packets as may be delivered
to him, endorsed as hereafter mentioned, and shall forthwith deliver, or cause to
be delivered, all such public letters and packets as may be directed to any person
or persons residing on the eastern shore to the sheriff of Queen-Anne's county,
and take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of Queen-Anne's county shall, 
without delay, deliver all such letters and packets as may be directed to any person
or persons in Queen-Anne's county to such person or persons, and take a receipt
for the same, and shall, without delay, deliver all such letters and packets
as may be directed to any person or persons residing in Talbot, Dorchester, Somerset,
and Worcester counties, to the sheriff of Talbot county, and shall take a
receipt for the same; and the sheriff of Talbot county shall, without delay, deliver
all such letters and packets as may be directed to any person or persons residing
in his county to such person or persons, and take a receipt for the same,
and shall, without delay, deliver all such letters and packets as may be directed
to any person or persons in Dorchester, Worcester, and Somerset counties, to the
sheriff of Dorchester county, and take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of
Dorchester county shall, without delay, deliver all such public letters and packets
as may be directed to any person or persons residing in his county to such person
or persons, and take a receipt for the same, and shall, without delay, deliver all
such public letters and packets as may be directed to any person or persons residing
in Somerset or Worcester counties, to the sheriff of Somerset county, and
take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of Somerset county shall, without delay,
deliver all such public letters and packets as may be directed to any person
or persons residing in his county to such person or persons, and take a receipt for
the same, and shall, without delay, deliver all such public letters and packets as
may be directed to any person or persons in Worcester county, to the sheriff of said
county, and take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of Worcester county
shall, without delay, deliver all such public letters or packets to the person or
persons to whom directed, and take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of
Queen-Anne's county shall also, without delay, deliver all such public letters and
packets as may be directed to any person or persons in Kent and Cæcil counties,
to the sheriff of Kent county, and take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of
Queen-Anne's county shall, without delay, deliver all such public letters and packets as
may be directed to any person or persons residing in his county to such person or
persons, and take a receipt for the same, and shall, without delay, deliver all
such public letters or packets as may be directed to any person or persons
residing in his county, and take a receipt for the same, and shall, without delay,
deliver all such public letters and packets as may be directed to any person or persons
residing in his county, and take a receipt for the same, and shall, without delay,
deliver all such public letters and packets as may be directed to any person or
persons residing in Cæcil county, to the sheriff of said county, and take a receipt
for the same; and the sheriff of Cæcil county shall, without delay, deliver all
such public letters or packets to the person or persons to whom directed, and
take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of Queen-Anne's county shall also
without delay, deliver all such public letters and packets, as may be delivered to
him, endorsed as hereafter mentioned, directed to any person or persons residing
in Caroline county, to the sheriff of said county, and take a receipt for the same;
and the sheriff of Caroline county shall, without delay, deliver such letters or
packets to the person or persons to whom directed, and take a receipt for the
same.

    VII.  And be it enacted, That the sheriff of Anne-Arundel county shall, without
delay, deliver all such public letters and packets as may be delivered to him,
endorsed as hereafter mentioned, directed to any person or persons residing in Calvert
county, to the sheriff of said county, and take a receipt for the same; and
the sheriff of Calvert county shall, without delay, deliver all such public letters
or packets to the person or persons to whom directed, and take a receipt for the
same; and the sheriff of Anne-Arundel county shall, without delay, deliver all
such public letters or packets as may be delivered to him, endorsed as aforesaid,
directed to any person or persons residing in Prince-George's, Charles, Saint-Mary's,
and Montgomery counties, to the sheriff of Prince-George's county,
and take a receipt for the same; and the sheriff of Prince-George's county shall,
