RESOLVED unanimously, That the treasurer of the western shore be and

ON the second reading of the report on the petitions of Job Garretson and
Robert Long, RESOLVED, That the executions issued against the said Job Garretson
and Robert Long, on their bonds in the treasury for confiscated property,
returnable to October term, seventeen hundred and eighty-eight, be and they are

on their said bonds respectively, until the chancellor shall have decreed on their
respective bills now depending before him; provided always, that the said Job
Garretson and Robert Long prosecute their suits with all diligence, and bring the

are adjusted; RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is
hereby authorised and required to issue certificates to those whose claims have
been duly admitted, for such proportion thereof as they would respectively be entitled
to receive if all the claims exhibited against the said Christie's estate, and
now depending before the auditor, were allowed.

RESOLVED, That Tuesday the ninth day of this present month be appointed
for choosing two senators to represent this state in the senate of the United States,
one of whom to be a resident of the western, and the other of the eastern shore,
to be chosen by the joint ballot of both houses, and that the two persons, one
residing on the western shore, and the other on the eastern, having a majority of
votes of all the attending members of both houses, be declared to be duly elected
senators to represent this state in the senate of the United States for the term of
six years, subject nevertheless to the rotation established by the constitution of the
United States; and that a commission shall issue to the said senators appointed as
aforesaid, signed by the governor for the time being, or, in his absence, by the
presiding member of the council, in the following words, to wit:  To _____.
