NOVEMBER, 1696 COURT 69

Appeareth and haveing Issued out two writts boath which was Returned by
the Sheriffe of Prince Georges County that the Said Defendant was not to be
found in his balywicke and Likewise have Caused a Coppy of the Cause of
Action to be Left at the house were the Defendant Last Lived in this County
upon which it is testified on part of the Said plantiffe here in Court that the
Said Defendant is gon to England and doth not Inhabit within this province
Whereupon the Said Henry Ferneley by his Attorney aforesaid prayeth an
Attechment against the goods Chatties and Creditts of the Said Richard Clarke
as well for the Sume of three hundred and fourteen pounds of tobaccoe the Debt
due by an Account aforesaid as alsoe the Sume of four hundred fifty Seaven
pounds of tobaccoe his Costs and Charges in this behalfe Laid out and Ex-
pended According to Act of Assembly in Such Cases made and provided etc.
And by the Court here it is granted unto him.

Charles Beall plantiffe: Andrew Hurd Defendant.

The plantiffe by Joshua Cecell his Attorney Sues the Defendant for the Sume
of Eight hundred pounds of tobaccoe and Caske to Containe the Same due by
bill as by Declearation and bill filed dated the first day of May Annoque Domini.
1696: Appeareth etc.

And the Said plantiffe haveing Issued out two writts against the Defendant

of this Court Whereupon the Said Charles Beall by his Attorney aforesaid
prayeth an Attechment against the goods Chatties and Creditts of the Said
Andrew Hurd as well for the Said Sume of Eight hundred pounds of tobaccoe
the Debt due by bill as aforesaid as alsoe the Sume of four hundred forty nine
pounds of tobaccoe his Cost and Charges in this behalfe Laid out and Expended
etc. According to Act of Assembly in Such Cases made and provided etc. And by
the Court here it is granted unto him.

Hugh Furguson plantiffe: Matthew Heins Defendant.

The plantiffe by Joshua Cecell his Attorney Sues the defendant for twelve
hundred pounds of good Sound Marchantable Leafe tobaccoe Cleare of trash
in Caske due by bill as by Decleration and bill filed dated the thirtith day of
June Anno Domini. 1696 Appeareth.

And the Said plantiffe haveing Issued out two writts against the defendant
boath which was by the Sheriffe of Prince Georges County Returned that the
Said defendant was not to be found in his balywick and alsoe have Caused
a Coppy of the Cause of Action to be left at the house were the defendant Last
