thereupon ordered by the Court here that the Said Joshua Cecell Should have
the Libberty o£ makeing an end of all his Clyants business that he had allready
tooke and have the priveledge to Finish the Same.
Mr. Henry Bonner Came into Court and prayed Leave that he might be
Addmitted to be an Attorney of this Court and it was granted unto him. Upon
which the usuall oaths made by Act of Parliment and the oath of an Attorney
was Administred unto him. and he being Sworne took place and Satt with the
rest of the Attorneys of the Said Court.
Christopher Thompson Constable of Collington hundred being Called three
times and not Appearing to give in his presentments was fined Nice Cause, and
Soone after Came the Said Thompson into Court giveing the Court a good
Reason for his not Appearing the fine aforesaid was Remitted.
Then was Constables Chosen for each Respective hundred to Serve in this
County for the Ensueing yea[r]. Joseph Greere Constable for Mattapony
hundred. Nathan Veetch Constable for Mount Calvert hundred William Lee
Constable for Pattuxen hundred. William Ray Constable for Collington hun-
dred. William Hunter Constable for Pescattaway hundred. George Miller Con-
stable for New Scotland hundred.
Warrants to Each Constable was Issued out Accordingly.
William Luddell desiered his Appearance may be Entred to his Recognizance
gave the Last Court and uppon his Submision to the Court here It is ordered
that upon the Said William Luddell putting in good Security for his good
behavour and Appearance the next Court the former Recognizance to be
discontinued] And now here att this day (to witt) the 24th day of November
Annoque Domini 1696 Came the Said William Luddell and Acknowledged
himselfe to be Indebted unto our Sovereigne Lord the King in the Just Sume
of twenty pounds of Lawfull money of England together with Thomas Sprigg
Jr. his Security and the Said Thomas Sprigg did Acknowledge himselfe In-
debted unto our Sovereigne Lord the King in the Sume of tenn pounds of Like
Lawfull money of England to be Leavied of their goods and Chatties Lands and
tenements Respectivly to our Sovereigne Lord the Kings use if the Said William
Luddell Shall not Appeare att the next County Court to be held att Charles
Towne the fourth Tuesday January next and in the meane time be of good
behavor as well towards our Sovereigne Lord the K[ing] as all the good people
of this Province.
Upon the motion of Mr. David Small about the paying for the Record booke
of this County it is ordered th[at] the Said David Small be Allowed for the Same
in the next years Leavie.
Thomas Greene Sonn of Leonard Greene Came into Court and desired that
Francis Marbury may bee Recorded his Gardian to take Care of him and of
what is due to him and it is granted unto him.
