NOVEMBER, 1696 COURT 63

Annoque Domini 1696 Came the Said Abraham Feilds by John Meriton his
Attorney and prayeth Libberty to Amend the Decleration aforesaid paying Cost
to the defendant to Six hundred Seaventy one pounds of tobacco and it is
granted unto him.

Appearances and Imparlances att Prince Geoges County Court the 24th day of
November Annoque Domini 1696.

To these four Actions the Defendants by Henry Bonner their Attorney Ap-
pears and Imparls till next Court: Henry Fitzharbert against Ninian Beall -
trespass on the Case; Joshua Cecell against John Murth - Attechment; Thomas
Hussey against George Athey-Debt 904; John Browne and Mary his wife
against Mathew Mockeboy - trespass on the Case.

To these 3 Actions the Defendants by Cleborn Lomax their Attorney Appears
and Imparls till next Court: Ninian Beall against Francis Prisley - trespass on
the Case; Joseph Wood against Thomas Date - trespass on the Case; Teague
Tracy against Daniell Smith - Debt 1400.

To these 3 actions the Defendants by William Stone their Attorney Appears
and Imparls till next Court: Edward Batson against Murfy Ward - trespass on
the Case; Edward Feix against Hugh Furguson - trespass on the Case; Richard
Attwood against Henry Brents Administrator — trespass on the Case.

To these 10 Actions the Defendants by James Crawford their Attorney Ap-
pears and Imparls till next Court: Robert Lyles against David Small Admin-
istrator of Cooper - trespass on the Case; William Groome against Courtney
Crotoffe — trespass on the Case; Thomas Date against Joseph Wood - trespass
on the Case; James Bigger against John Ramsey- trespass on the Case; Joseph
Winger against John Taylor - trespass on the Case; Henry Jowles against Ninian
Beall - trespass on the Case; Richard Charletts Administrator against Richard
Clarke - trespass on the Case; Samuell Goozey against Daniell Troy-Debt; the
Same against the Same - trespass on the Case; William Harbert against Charles
Tracey - trespass on the Case.

Richard Addis against John Davis - trespass on the Case. To this action the
Defendant by William Bladen his Attorney Appears and Imparls till next Court.

Ninian Beall against John Ramsey — trespass on the Case. To this Action the
Defendant in his proper person Appears and Imparls till next Court.

Edward Ball against William Groome - Debt 4500. To this Action the De-
fendant by John Meriton his Attorney Appears and Imparles till next Court.

Then Did the Court Adjourne untill to morrow morning 8 a Clock and then
Satt as followeth. (Viz.)

Present. Mr. Thomas Hollyday, Mr. William Barton, Mr. John Wight, Mr.
Robert Bradley, Mr. David Small, Mr. William Tanyhill, Comisoners.

[61] Then Came Joshua Cecell into Court and presented to the Court here a
Commision from Sir Thomas Lawrenc[e] to be Clerke of Prince Georges
County upon which the Said Joshua Cecell haveing taken the usuall oath made
by Act of Parliment together with the oath of a Clerke was by the Court here
Admitted as Clerke o[f] Prince Georges County Court.

Upon a motion made to this Court by Joshua Cecell Late one of the Attorneys
of this Court but now Clerke of the Same that he might have the Libberty to
make an end of all his Clyants business that h[e] had allready begunn It was
