hands and possession he atteached Such goods as aforesaid that they be and
appear before the Justices of our next Court to be held at Charles Towne as
aforesaid to Shew Cause if any they have why the goods soe atteached and
Execution thereon to be had and made.

Att which Said day the Sherife came into Court and made returne of the
Said Writt Endorsed on the Same as (viz.) atteached in the hands of Mrs.
Bevens Debt and Cost, and Summoned per William Barton Sheriff. Upon a
Motion made by Mr. Joshua Cecell in the behalfe of the Garneshe the above
Said Atteachment was Continued till the next Court.

Major William Dent Plantiff: Matthew Mackeboy Defendant

The Plantiffe Sues the Defendant in an action of Tresspass upon the Case, it

being for five hundred and twenty pounds of Tobacco due upon the Ballance

of accounts as by the Said account here entred may appear.

And the Defendant in his Propper Person came into Court and Acknowledged
the Said Sume of five hundred And twenty pounds of Tobacco to be Justly due
to the Said William Dent and Desiered Judgement might be entred against him
for the Same.

Therefore it is Considered that the Said Major William Dent recover against
the Said Matthew Mackeboy as well the Sume of five hundred and twenty
pounds of Tobacco his Debt aforesaid as allso the Sume of two hundred twenty
Six pounds of Tobacco to the Said Plantiff of his assent for his Cost and Charges
of Suite by the Court here adjudged. And the Said Mathew Mackeboy in Mercy.
