6 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

Plantation Called Brents Quarter and by the Old Piscattaway roade as the North
Corner tree of Mr. Roger Brookes Land; As Also the North west Corner tree of
Thomas Hides Land; And the East Corner tree of a parcell of Land Called
Woodbridge Now in Possession of Henry Calvert And that the Said tree was
bounded For the said Roger Brooke at the First laying out of his Land before
Any Certificate was Returned; And Further Saith not.

Ninion Beall

The within Deposition taken before us at the within Mentioned tree this
thirtieth of March 1696.

John Addison, Thomas Brooke

Present at the tree when the deposition was taken: Robert Lyles, Francis Piles,
Denis Smith, Robert Bradly.

By the House of Burgesses October the 17th 1695.

Ordred that the Church at Mount Calvert being Likewise Convenient for a
County Court house For the New County to witt Prince George County serve
and be used for that End, being a means to Ease the aforesaid County of the
Charge of building a Court house.

Assented to by his Excellency Signed per Order
And Council. William Bladen, Clerk Assembly
Henry Benton, Clerk Councill

At A Spetiall Court held at Charles Town in Prince George County the fourth
day of May in the Eight Yeare of the reigne of Our Soveraign Lord William the
third by the grace of God King of England Scotland etc. the Defender of the
Faith etc. Anno Domini 1696 Present

Thomas Hollyday, Robert Bradly, Justices; David Small, Robert Tyler.

Ordred by this Court that the Sheriff of this County Send to Each Constable
of the Individuall hundreds to Sumons in the freeholders to Appeare at Charles
Town and On Thursday next then and there to Chuse deputies and Deligates
t[o] serve in this present Assembly for Prince Georges County this Court Adjurns
till Thursday next.

[9] At a Court held at Charles Town the Seventh day of May instant in the
Eight Year of the reigne of Our Soveraign Lord William the third by the Grace
of God King of England Scotland France etc. Anno Domini 1696 present

Thomas Hollyday, William Barton, John Wight, Justices; Robert Bradly,

Robert Tyler.

Proclamation being made and proclamed the Comition for Electing Of
Burgesses was Openly read etc.

This Court Adjurned till the Fourth Tuesday in June Next.

At a Court held at Charles Town the three and twentieth day of June in the
Eight Yeare of the reigne of Our Soveraign Lord William the third by the
