From Swansons Creek to Mattaponay Branch be called Mattapony Hundred:
From Mattaponay Branch to the Mayne Branch of the Western Branch be
Called Mount Calvert Hundred: Between the Mayne Branch of the Western
Branch and Collitons Branch be Called Colliton Hundred: [7] Between
Collington Branch and the Maine Branch of Petuxon River Cal[led] the Noth
branch be Called Petuxon Hundred; From Mattawoman to Oxon branch Called
Pescatto[way] hundred. From Oxon branch to the falls of Potomak Called
Newscottland hundred.

Ordred by this Court that William Mills be Appointed Constable of Mattapany
hundred; Henry Calvert Constable of Mount Calvert Hundred; Christopher
Thomson Constable of Collington Hundred; Thomas Swearingham Constable
of Petuxon Hundred; Francis Malburry Constable For Piscattaway Hundred;
Daniell Ellets Constable For New Scotland Hundred; Thomas Kenniston Press
Master For Mattapany Hundred; Edward Phenix Press Master For Mount
Calvert Hundred; Matthew Maccubby Press Master For Collington Hundred;
Robert Anderson Press Master For Petuxon Hundred; Daniell Connell Press
Master For Piscattaway Hundred; Charles Beall Press Master For New Scot-
land Hundred; Mr. James Brooke Overseer of the high Ways for Mount
Calvert Hundred; George Joanes Overseer of the high ways for Mattapany
Hundred; James Mullican Overseer of the high ways for Collington Hundred;
Thomas Davis Overseer of the high ways For Petuxon Hundred; Francis
Durrham Overseer of the high way For Piscattaway Hundred; Francis Prisly

Mr. Thomas Hughs haveing requested this Court to be Sworn An Attorn[ey]
of the Same tooke the Oaths and was Admitted Accordingly.

Ordred By this Court that Mr. Sheriff Greenfield Doe Cause to be Erected a
Cage, pillory, whiping post and Stocks According to his Discretion at or befor
June Court Next.

Ordred Further by this Court that this place Called Mount Calvert Doe For
the Future goe by the Name of Charles Town.

This Court Adjurned till the Fourth Tuesday in June Next.

At A Spetiall Court held at Charles Town in Prince Georges County the
Fourth day of May In the Eight Yeare of the Reigne of Our Sover[eign] Lord
William the third by the grace of God of England King Defender [of the] Faith
etc. Anno Domini 1696 Present Thomas Hollyday, Robert Bradly, [David] Small,
Robert Tayler, Justices, and soe Forth.

[8] A Motion being Made to this Court by the Honourable Collonell Henry
Darnell that the Following Deposition might be recorded (Viz.)

The Deposition of Ninion Beall Aged Seventy Yeares or thereabouts Saith
that a black Oake Standing Neare the Maine road goeing up the River by the
