AUGUST, 1699 COURT 541

And the Said Charles Beall in his Propper Person cometh and defendeth the
force and Injury when etc. and Saith that he cannot gainesay the actions of the
Said Jonathan Willsons Executors nor but that he oweth the Said Kathrine
Willson and Joshua Cecell Executors as aforesaid Plantiffs the Said three hun-
dred Sixty and nine pounds of Tobacco in forme as the Plantiffs above in their
account hath Sett forth.

Therefore it is Considered that the Said Kathrine Willson and Joshua Cecell
Executors of the Said Jonathan Plantiffe recover against the Said Charles Beall
Defendant as well the Sume of three hundred Sixty Nine pounds of Tobacco
their Debt aforesaid as allso the Sume [of] two hundred and twenty pounds of
Tobacco to the Plantiffs of their assents for their Costs and Charges of Suite by
the Court here adjudged and the Said Charles Beall in mercy.

Mr. David Small made Oath to an account against Joseph Addison.

George Jones and John Rooke entred into recognizance in twenty Pownds
Sterling Each of them to Keep the County Indemnifyed or being Chargeable
in Maintenance of a Child begotten on the body of Deborah Woodfeild, Jona-
than Simons Servant woman.

Ordered that John Rooke be in Safe Custody till all Fees Paid.

Ordered that the account of Mr. Robert Bradley against John Davis be
audited by Col. Thomas Hollyday and Mr. Samuell Magruder and to returne
their audit Forthwith.

Phillip Dennis and William Prather entred into recognizance of twenty
pounds Sterling Each of them to Stand to the award of Mr. Robert Bradley
and Mr. James Stoddart in the action depending between the Said Dennis and
the Said Prather.

Ordered that Archibald Edmundson appear the next Court in Order for the
rebuilding the westerne branch bridge.

Ordered that Elisha Sedgewick appear the next Court in order for Makeing
an addition to the Court house.
