you Send the Prisoners with their Indictments and the whole Matter depending
before you to the next Provintiall Court to be holden for this Province whenso-
ever or wheresoever to bee holden there to be Tryed and Further Wee do hereby
authorize and Impower you to Ishue out writts Presses and atteachments and hold
Plea of Oyer and Terminer in actions of Tresspass against the forme of any Laws
or Statutes of our kingdome of England or the Said Province all Actions of Quere
Clausum Fregitt all Actions of Debt and detinue Sur Trover and Replevin for
any Sume or Sumes of Tobacco Money or account and all other Personall actions
of what Nature and kind so ever of Land allways Excepted and foreprised and
after Judgement Execution to award in all Causes Civell Soe to be tryed according
to the Laws Orders and reasonable Customes made and Provided in this our
Province of Maryland In Which Causes Civill Soe to bee tryed Excepting as
before Excepted Wee doe Constitute Ordeine and appoynt you the Severall and
respective persons as aforesaid to bee Judges as aforesaid and therefore wee Doe
Command you that you Dilligently Intend in keepeing of the Peace Laws and
Orders of all and Singular other the Premisses and att Certaine Days appoynted
according to act of assembly in Such Cases Made and Provided and att Such Place
which you or any four or more of you as aforesaid Shall in that behalfe appount
you make Inquiery upon the Premisses and performe and fullfill the Same in
forme aforesaid doeing therein what to Justice [444] Apperteineth according
to the Laws Orders and Reasonable Customes of this Province and therefore wee
Command the Sheriffe of our Said County by Vertue of these presents that att
the Place and on the Dayes aforesaid which you or any Such four or more of you
as aforesaid Shall make Knowne to him that he gives his attendance on you and
if need require he cause to Come before you or any Such four or more of you
Such and So Many good and Lawfull men of your Country by whom the truth of
the premisses may be the better Knowne and Inquired of Lastly you Shall cause
to Come before you on the Day and att the Place aforesaid the writts precepts
prossess and Indictments to your Court and Jurisdiction belonging that the Same
may be Inspected and by due Cource of Law determined.

William the third by the Grace of God of England Scottland France and Ire-
land King Defender of the Faith to John Smith, John Hawkins, Robert Wade,
Samuell Magruder and Thomas Sprigg Junior of Prince Georges County Gentle-
men Greeteing Wee doe hereby authorize and Impour you the Said John Smith,
John Hawkins, Robert Wade, Samuell Magruder and Thomas Sprigg or Either
of you to administer the Oaths appoynted by act of Parliament to be Taken in-
stead of the Oaths of Alleagiance and Supremacye as allso the Oath of Justice
unto Thomas Hollyday, William Hutcheson, John Wight, Robert Bradley or
Robert Tyler or any of them, and you the Said Thomas Hollyday, William
Hutchison, John Wight, Robert Bradley or Robert Tyler or any one of you have-
ing taken the Said Oaths are to administer the Same unto the rest of the Justices
and Commissioners respectively as they are nominated in the within written
Commission and that you and every of you doe Severally Subscribe the Test as
allso the association and for Soe doeing this Shall bee your Sufficient authority
hereof faile not and when you have Soe done you are to Certifie the Same under
your Hands and Seals to us in our High Court of Chancery with all Convenient
