482 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

Majesties use etc. if the Said Isack Williams Shall not appear att the next Provin-
tiall Court there to Testifie the Truth of his knowledge in a matter of Contro-
versy depending there between his Majesty Plantiff and Matthew Mackeboy
Defendant.

Ordered that Thomas Orton be bound in a recognizance of fifety pounds
Sterling to Prosecute in the behalfe of his Majestic against Matthew Mackeboy
att the next Provintiall Court to be held att Annopolis Sometime in May Next.

And now here att this day (to witt) the 28th day of March Annoque Domini
1699 came the Said Thomas Orton and acknowledged himselfe to bee indebted to
our Sovereigne Lord the King in the Sume of fifety pounds Lawfull money of
England to be Leavied of his Good and Chatties Lands and tenements respectively
for his Majesties use etc. if the Said Thomas Orton Shall not appear at the next
Provintiall Court and there Prosecute in the behalfe of his Majestic against
Matthew Mackeboy.

Mr. Nicholas Sporne Sworne to an account against Robert Goarding.

John Chappman made oath that he attended three dayes in a Cause for Mat-
thew Mackeboy against John Underwood, Ordered that Matthew Mackeboy pay
John Chappman ninety pounds of Tobacco for his Said attendance.

[418] Robert Brothers Plantiff: John Lennam Defendant

The Plantiffe by Joshua Cecell his Attorney brought his Majesties writt against
the Defendant of a Plea that he render unto him the Full Sume and Just Quantity
of tenn thousand pounds of Tobacco Due by bill.

Upon which the Plantiff by his Attorney afforesaid Prayeth Speaciall Baile may
be given to the action afforesaid and it is granted unto him.

Whereupon came John Midleton Junior into Court and offered himselfe to be
Speacial baile for the Said John Lennam in the Plea aforesaid according to Law.

Willson Executors Plantives: Nathaniell Taylor Defendant

The Plantives in their Propper Person brought his Majesties writt against the
Defendant for Eight pounds fiveteen Shillings and Six pence due upon account
as by Declaration Filed and account here Entred may appear.
