July the 7th 1696 Then Came William Dent and made oath that this is a Just
and true Account and that [47] Hee hath not Received any part of Sattisfac-
tion. William Hutchinson. William Barton.
And the Said Matthew Mackaboy by William Bladen his attorney Cometh and
defendeth the force and Injury whe[n] etc. and prayeth Lycence thereof to
Imparle untill the next Court and it is granted unto him the Same day is given
to the plantiffe Likewise. Att which Said next Court (to witt) the 22d Day of
September Annoque Domini 1696: Came here as well the Said William Dent
as the Said Matthew Mackaboy by their Attorneys aforesaid And the William
Dent prayeth that the Said Matthew Mackeboy to his Decleration aforesaid may
Answer etc.
And the Said Matthew Mackeboy by William Bladen his Attorney Cometh
and defendeth the force and Injury when etc. and Saith nothing in barr of the
Action of the Said William Dent by which the Said William Dent Remaineth
against the Said Matthew Mackeboy thereof without Defence etc. Therefore it
is Considered that the Said William Dent Recover against the Said Matthew
Mockeboy as well his damages in the premises to five hundred and Sixteen
pounds of tobaccoe as alsoe the Sume of two hundred and fourteene pounds of
tobaccoe his Cost and Charges to the Said William Dent of his Assent by the
Court here adjudged etc. And the Said Matthew Mackeboy in mercy etc.
Appearances and Imparlances the 22d Day of September 1696.

Willesey — trespass on the Case; Same against the Same Administrator of Joseph

on the Case; Joseph Harryson against John Chapman — Scire facias Debt 265;
John Short against John Gardiner - trespass on the Case; Edward and Dudley
Carleton against William Barton — trespass on the Case.
To these three Actions the Defendant in their propper person Appears and
Imparles till next Court: William Young against Charles Hay - Debt 4720;
Robert Thornborne against John Turner - trespass on the Case; Edmond Stowe
against William Westry - trespass on the Case.
William Phillmore against John Pigman trespass upon the Case, this writt was
by the Sheriffe Returned Cepi Languadis whereupon it was ordered by the Court
here that a duces tecum Should be Issued forth against the Defendant when
by the plantiffe Required etc.
