466 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

Lord the King his heires and Successors the Sume of one hundred pounds of
Tobacco for his Offence And to be in Custody till Fees Paid and his appearance
the next Court, [fine]

His Majesty v. Richard Groome

His Majesty upon an Indictment Commands that a venire Should Ishue out
against one Richard Groome Taylor for uttereing Falce and Scurilous Newes
about the present affaires of England upon the hearing thereof the Court
adjudged Since what he Said he could not proove his Assertion that the Sherife
Should have the Said Richard Groome to the whipping poast and there give him
upon the bare back twenty Lashes.

The Said Richard Groome upon the heareing of his accusation [incomplete
