togather with Archibald Edmundson his Security and the Said Archibald Ed-
mundson did acknowledge himselfe to be Indebted to our Sovereigne Lord the
Kings use if the Said Charles Wallker Shall not appear att the next County
Court to be held att Charles Towne the fourth Tuesday of June Next and in
the meantime to bee of good beheaviour as well towards our Sovereigne Lord the
King as all the Good people of this province and Espeacially the Justices and
officers of this Court.

Bee it remembred that the Jurors of our Sovereigne Lord the King that now
is for the body of Prince Georges County for his said Majesty upon their Oathes
did present William Gaskin of the County aforesaid Cooper for that hee the Said
William the 28th day of March 1699 att Charles Towne in the Said County did
in the Contempt of the good Laws of this Province and allso of the Kingdome of
England make himselfe drunke and in Such manner did abear himselfe fighting
etc. against the tennor and Provison of the good Laws of God and this Province.

And now here at this day (to witt) the 28 day of March this Same Court before
the Justices of our Sovereigne Lord the King att Charles Towne aforesaid came
the Said William Gaskin in Custody of the Shreeffe of Prince Georges County
and being brought to Barr in his propper person it is demanded of the Said
William Gaskin how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses imposed upon
him And the Said William Gaskin cometh and defendeth the force and Injury
when etc. Confessed the Fact and Further Saith that he was sorry for the Offence
Committed.
Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses by the Court being seen and under-
stood it is Considered that the Said William Gaskin pay unto our Sovereigne
Lord the King his heires and Successors the Sume of one hundred pounds of
Tobacco for breach of the Peace, by the Court adjudged, [fine]
And Further it is ordered by the Court here that the Sheriffe take the Said
William Gaskin into his Custody and him Safe Keep untill hee Shall finde Suffi-
cient Security for his good behaviour and for his appearance the next Court to be
held here in June next to answer unto Such things and matters as Shall be then
and there objected against him.
And now here at this day (to witt) the 28th day of March 1699 came the Said
William Gaskin and acknowledged himselfe to be indebted to our Sovereigne
Lord the King in the Just Sume of five pounds Sterling money of England To-
gather with William Conley his Security and the Said William Conley did
acknowledge himselfe to be indebted to our Sovereigne Lord the Kings use if
the Said William Gaskin Shall not appear att the next County Court to be held
att Charles Towne the 4th Tuesday in June next and in the meantime to bee of
good behaviour as well towards our Sovereigne Lord the King as all the good
people of this Province and Espeacially the Justices and officers of this Court.
