LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Regulating
the killing of
partridges.

f trap any partridges in Kent, Talbot and Queen
Anne's counties, between the fifteenth day of Janu-
ary and the first day of November, and rabbits be-
tween the fifteenth day of January and the first day
of October in each and every year.

Penalty.

SEC. 2. Be, it further enacted, That any person or
persons violating the provisions of this law, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof
before a justice of the peace of either of the counties
above named, shall pay a fine of five dollars for each
partridge or rabbit shot or taken, and on failure to
pay said fine, shall be lodged in the county jail fora
term often days.

Trespassing.

SEC. 3. Belt further enacted, That any person found
trespassing with dog or gun on any private property
in either of said counties, shall be liable to be ar-
rested by any constable of the counties, and shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction
thereof before any justice of the peace in said coun-
ties shall be fined the sum of five dollars, and on
failure to pay said fine, shall be confined in the jail
of either of said counties for a term of not less than
five nor more than ten days. 41

Fines — to
whom paid.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the fines

which may be collected under the provisions of this
act, shall be paid by the justice of the peace to the
county commissioners to be by them placed to the
credit of the school fund of said counties.

Repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That all acts or
parts of acts inconsistent with this act be, and the
same are hereby repealed.
