with the same duties and liable to the same penalties
imposed by their said original charter.

 

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the said company
are hereby authorized to charge for toll per mile for
travel over such extension, at the same rate allowed
by the original charter and its supplements.

SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of extending their said turnpike road, as hereinbefore
authorized, the said president and directors are au-
thorized to increase their capital stock by adding
thereto tea thousand dollars, and to that end they
are hereby authorized to open subscription books for
such additional capital of ten thousand dollars in
shares of twenty dollars each; and they are hereby
vested with all the powers with reference to taking
such subscriptions and enforcing the payment of the
same, given in said original charter for the payment
of the subscriptions to the original capital.

SEC 12. And be it further enacted, That the said
President and Directors of the Frederick City and
Catoctin Mountain Road Company, be and they are
hereby further authorized to construct a branch
Turnpike Road, in connection with the road, as at
present made and used by them, beginning at the bed
of the present road, at or near John Dutrow's black-
smith shop, and running on the bed of the present
county road as far as practicable, to intersect the Em-
mittsburg road near Mount Prospect Church, and
which shall be the terminus of the branch turnpike
road hereby authorized to be made; and the said
president and directors are hereby vested with all the
powers granted by their original charter, to effect
said object of making said branch road hereby au-
thorized to be made, and are charged with the same
duties and liable to the same penalties imposed by
said original charter.

SEC. 13. And be it further enacted. That the said
Company are hereby authorized to make said ex-
tended and said branch road of the same width as far
as practicable as the original road, and charge the
same toll per mile.
