CHAPTER 361.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery and Prince George's
counties, to appoint' examiners, whose duty it shall
be to report to their respective boards of county
commissioners, whether the public convenience
requires the building of a bridge over the North-
West Branch at the point where it is crossed by
the Sandy Spring road.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery and Prince George's counties, be and they	Appoint three examiners.
are hereby directed to appoint three examiners from
each county, whose duty it shall be to examine and
report whether the public convenience requires the
erection of a bridge over the North-West Branch,
at the point where it is crossed by the Sandy Spring
road; and that said report shall be made on .or
before the first day of August, eighteen hundred
and seventy-six.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That should the report

spective counties, a sum hot exceeding five hundred
dollars, shall be levied upon the taxable property of
each county, to be under the control and direction
of the said county commissioners, for the purpose
of building or aiding in building said bridge.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the boards of county commissioners to adopt a	Adopt apian.
plan according to which said bridge shall be con-
structed, and of such material as they may deem
best, of which due notice shall be given in at least
two newspapers, published in each of said counties,
for the space of four weeks, for the purpose of re-
ceiving proposals for building said bridge according
to the plan adopted.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the boards of
county commissioners aforesaid, are authorized,	Authorized.
