CHAPTER 3.
AN ACT granting the sanction of the General As-
sembly of Maryland to the bequest in the last will
and testament of Margaret E. Morton, late of Cal-
vert county, deceased, to the vestry of St. Paul's
Parish Church in Calvert county.

CHAPTER 2.

AN ACT to authorize the Court of Appeals to hear
the appeal of the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore, and James M. Anderson, Collector,
against the Grand Lodge of Maryland of the Inde-
pendent Order of Odd-Fellows, in relation to the
opening of Lexington street, at the present1 term
of said court.

WHEREAS, the respective parties to the case men-
tioned in the title to this act are anxious that it be
heard and decided by the Court of Appeals as soon
as possible, because it concerns interests of large
magnitude.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Court of Appeals, be and it is
hereby authorized to hear the case of the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, and James M. Anderson,
Collector, against the Grand Lodge of Maryland of
the Independent Order of Odd-Fellows, in relation
to the opening of Lexington street, at its present
term.

S^c 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its approval by the Governor.
