county, and thereupon the said justice of the peace shall give a certificate of the production of such head or tail and the taking of said oath; and it shall be the duty of the said justice of the peace to destroy . said head or tail, so as to prevent a second allowance for the same.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That upon the production of such certificate the commissioners of Charles and Calvert counties, are hereby authorized and directed to levy upon the assessable property of their respective counties, a sum sufficient for the aforesaid bounty for the use of the person or persons producing the same, and the collectors of taxes shall collect

and pay the same accordingly; and provided, that the commissioners of each of the aforesaid counties shall only levy for the hawk or hawks, big owl or owls, foxes and weasels killed within its own limits.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said justice of the peace shall only charge for one certificate for any number of heads or tails brought before him at one time.

AN ACT to authorize the residents of White Marsh Parish, in Talbot county, to make "Saint Paul's" their Parish Church.
|

WHEREAS, by an act passed by the General Assembly of Maryland, A. D. seventeen hundred and ninety-eight chapter twenty-four, entitled, an act for the establishment of vestries for each parish in the State, it was provided that when there were one or more churches in one parish, election for members of the vestry should be held at the church first built in said parish;. and
