Preamble.

WHEREAS, in White Marsh Parish, of Talbot county, there are more than one church, but the church first built called " White Marsh " is less central and convenient, than the church called " Saint Pauls'; " and

WHEREAS, the members of said parish are desirous to make said " Saint Paul's " church the parish church for said parish, therefore

Authorized.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the residents of White Marsh Parish, in Talbot county, be and they are hereby authorized to make and constitute " Saint Paul's " Church in the town of Trappe, the parish church for their parish, and to hold all elections for members of their vestry &c., at their church.

CHAPTER 162.

AN ACT to commute the term of imprisonment of such prisoners in the Maryland Penitentiary as shall be found worthy.
|
|
Have a deduction.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all prisoners who have been or shall hereafter be convicted of any offense against the laws of the State of Maryland, and confined in the execution of the judgment or sentence, upon such conviction, in the penitentiary of the State, shall have a deduction from their several terms of sentence, of five days for each and every calendar month during which no charge of misconduct shall have been sustained against each severally, who shall be discharged at the expiration of his term of sentence less the time so deducted, and a certificate of the warden or keeper of the penitentiary of such deduction shall be en-
