CHAPTER 119.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claims of divers editors of newspapers in the State of Maryland, for publishing the act entitled "an act to amend section eight, of article four, of the constitution of the State of Maryland, " passed at January session eighteen hundred and seventy-four, chapter three hundred and sixty-four, authorized and directed by the Governor, under the provisions of section one, article fourteen, of the constitution, and the proclamation of the Governor announcing the adoption of the amendment by the people.

WHEREAS, an act was passed by the General As-sembly of Maryland, at January session, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, chapter three hundred and sixty-four, submitting a proposed amendment to the constitution to a vote of the people of the State, and in pursuance of said act and of article fourteen of the constitution, the Governor of Maryland caused due notice to be given to the qualified voters of the State of the pendence of said constitutional amendment, and after the adoption of the amendment by the people, made proclamation of the result by publication in various newspapers within the State, in conformity with law, but no provision was made in such act of eighteen hundred and seventy-four, chapter three hundred and sixty-four, for defraying the expense of said publications, therefore,
