CHAPTER 117.

AN ACT to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace for the State of Maryland, in and for Somerset county, and in the eighth election district thereof.

Additional justice of the peace.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That an additional justice of the peace, shall be appointed by the Governor of this State, in the manner now provided by law for the appointment of justices of the peace in this State, in and for the eighth election district of Somerset county, whose term of office shall begin on the same day as that of the other justices of the peace of said county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 118.

AN ACT supplementary to an act entitled " an act to incorporate the Citizens Railway Company of Baltimore city, " passed at the January session, eighteen hundred and seventy.

Amended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the fourth section of the act, entitled " an act to incorporate the Citizens Railway Company of Baltimore city, " passed at the January session, eighteen hundred and seventy, to which this is a supplement, be and the same is hereby so amended as to authorize and allow the Citizens Railway Company of Baltimore city, in its discretion, to increase the amount of its capital stock, to a sum not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars; provided the said company shall from and after the passage of this act
