Issue warrant
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, ''That upon receipt of the certificate of the Secretary of State, that the services have been performed, and of the justice and propriety of the claims presented, the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer of this State for the sum of five thousand, six hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be required, to pay the claims of the editors aforesaid, for and on account of the said publication.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Elkton and Delaware Junction Railroad Company.

Commissioners.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Jacob Tome, Henry H. Brady, William J. Jones, Thomas Whitteridge, Benjamin H. Latrobe, William J. Hooper, Thomas Kelso, Enoch Pratt and Thomas Donaldson be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners, under the direction of whom subscriptions may be received to the capital stock of the Elkton and Delaware Junction Railroad

Open books.
|
Company hereby incorporated, and they or a majority of them may cause books to be opened at such time and place as they may direct for the purpose of receiving subscriptions to the said capital stock of said company, after having given such notice of the times and places of opening the same as they may deem proper, and if such subscription to the capital stock of the said company as is necessary for its incorporation, be not previously obtained, the said books may be opened from time to time during the period of three years from the passage of this act at the discretion of said commissioners or a majority of
