said, and note the same upon the receipts given to the persons or incorporated institutions so paying; and upon all taxes which shall be in arrears and unpaid by the first day of January next succeeding the year for which they were levied, the said collectors shall

charge and collect, and the delinquent tax payer, shall pay interest until the said taxes be paid, to be noted on the receipts or vouchers given for the payment of such taxes in arrears as aforesaid, and added to the amount thereof, and for payment over to the

Liable.

county commissioners, or to their order, the bonds of said collectors shall be liable in the. same manner and to like extent as herein provided for the principal sums of the taxes placed in their hands for collection, on which the same may become payable by the default in payment of the tax payers owing to the same for the time and periods afore herein stated.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act and this subsection shall go into full force and effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the commissioners of the town of Bel-air, Harford county to collect and receipt for certain moneys.

Preamble

WHEREAS, the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-four, chapter two hundred arid ninety-four, authorized certain parties therein named, to draw a lottery for paving the town of Bel-air, and

WHEREAS, all the parties who consented to serve under said act are either dead or removed from the State, and

|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, the treasurer who held in his name certain funds realized from said lottery, is also dead,
