JOHN LEE CARROLL, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR. 165 CHAPTER 107.
AN ACT to repeal sub-section five of chapter ninety-four of the acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session eighteen hundred and seventy-two, and entitled " an act to enable or advise the County Commissioners of Allegany county under article one of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled ' Allegany County' under the head of 'County Commissioners, '" to appoint a county treasurer to receive and disburse the county taxes under their orders, by adding after section twenty of article one the following sub-sections thereto, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That sub-section five of chapter ninety-four of the acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session eighteen hundred and seventy-two, and entitled " an act to enable or advise the County Commissioners of Allegany county, under article one of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled 'Allegany County ' under the head of ' County Commissioners, ' " to appoint a county treasurer to receive and disburse the county taxes, under their orders, by adding after section twenty of article one, the following sub-sections thereto, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SUB-SECTION 5. The said collectors, on all sums of county taxes paid to them by or for any tax-payer, on or before the first day of September of the year for which they were levied shall be entitled to a deduction of five per centum on the amount of said taxes; all that shall pay the same on or before the first day of October of the said year, shall be entitled to a deduction of four per centum; and all that shall pay the same on or before the first day of November
