and since said time, said town of Bel-air has been incorporated, and has taken charge of the paving of the streets.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the said town, be authorized and empowered in the name of said town, to receive and receipt for all such sum or sums of money as may be due and owing to it on account of said lottery fund and drawing, and his receipt therefor, shall be a full discharge to any person or persons or body corporate or banking institution holding any monies for and on account of the paving fund. of said streets, or by the late treasurer of the paving commissioners of said town.

AN ACT to repeal the seventeenth section of article thirteen of the Public Local Laws of Howard county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That section seventeen of article thirteen of the Public Local Laws of Howard county be, and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SEC. 17. The tax-payers of Howard county shall be entitled to the deduction for prompt payments of State taxes now allowed by law, and the following deductions of county taxes; six per cent, on payments made on or before the first day of September, and three per cent, on payments made on or before the first day of October in the year for which the taxes are levied, and the collector appointed under this article shall receive credit from the county commissioners of said county for all such deductions shown to have been actually made by said collector in accordance with this article.
