SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the road supervisors and road contractors in Cal-vert county, to remove from the public roads in their respective districts or sections in said county, all gates which they shall hereafter find to be thereon in violation of the provisions of this act; and also to remove all and any gate from any new roads which shall be opened or declared to be public roads in

their respective districts or sections; and, upon failure so to do, shall pay a fine of twenty dollars, to be recovered by an action before a justice of the peace, in the name of the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert county.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from and after the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend an act of January session eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter two hundred and thirty-seven, entitled " an act to incorporate the Beneficial Savings Fund Society of Baltimore, by changing its name.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the name of the Beneficial Savings Fund Society of Baltimore, incorporated by the act of January session eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter two hundred and thirty-seven, be, and the same is hereby changed to the name of " The Metropolitan Savings Bank of Baltimore, " and that the said Beneficial Savings Fund Society of Baltimore,
