trol of the surveyor who shall have been appointed
by the board of examiners and assessors to make the
estimate and the plats required by the third section
of this act, and said surveyor is hereby given full
power to establish the grades in said avenue, and he
shall make monthly estimates of the amounts of the
work done in the construction of said avenue and
shall return the same to the county commissioners
and all payments on account of the construction of
the said avenue shall be made on said estimates.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That each member of the
board of examiners and assessors shall receive the
sum of three dollars per diem for the time which he
shall actually be engaged upon said assessments, and
this amount together with the expenses of the esti-
mates, plats and all other necessary expenses shall be
paid by the county commissioners out of the avenue
fund, and the said board of examiners and assessors
are hereby authorized to incur any expense neces-
sary for the proper performance of their duty in the
premises; provided however that no account shall
be paid by the county commissioners, unless the same
is endorsed by the said board of examiners and as-
sessors or a majority of them.

Repealed.
|
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act be
and the same are hereby repealed.

In force.
|
SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage and the Legislature
reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or repeal
this act at pleasure.
