sum of one dollar; and for each Panther scalp, the
sum of twenty dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, To obtain such allow-
ance it shall be necessary for the person killing such
animal to produce the head of the same before some
Justice of the Peace for said county, and at the same
time make oath that the said animal was taken and
killed within the limits of Garrett county, within
six days before the production of the head before
the Justice, and said Justice shall thereupon give the
person producing, a certificate that such head was
produced before him, wherein he shall set forth the
above mentioned oath, and it shall be also the duty
of the Justice to destroy any such head, to prevent
any second allowance for the same.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That upon the produc-
tion of such certificate the Commissioners of Garrett
county shall levy upon the assessable property of the
county the aforesaid allowance for the use of the
person producing the same, and the County Collec-
tor shall collect and pay the same accordingly.

effect from the date of its passage.

as the same relates to Harford, Frederick, Mont-
gomery, Queen Anne's, Calvert, Prince George's,
Garrett, Talbot, Charles, Carroll and Caroline
counties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That article thirty-first of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Crows" be and the
