CHAPTER 10.

AN ACT to authorize the Clerk of. the Circuit
Court for Queen Anne's county to copy index of
deeds, &c.

Authorized to
copy index.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Queen Anne's county be and he is hereby author-
ized and directed to have copied the index of deeds
&c., from the year eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
now in said, office.

Pay therefor.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the county commis-
sioners for Queen Anne's county are hereby required
to levy on the assessable property of said county a
sum sufficient to pay the said clerk one and one-
fourth cents, for each ten words or figures and pro-
rata for copying said index, as also the necessary
cost of book for such copy.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 11.

AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners
of Garrett county to levy money for the payment
of Wolf or other scalps destroyed within the limits
of said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That any citizen of this State who shall
kill or destroy any Wolf, Panther, Wild Cat or Fox,
within the limits of Garrett county, shall be entitled
to the following allowance, to wit: for each Wolf
scalp, the sum of twenty dollars; for each Wild Cat
scalp, the |jum of two dollars; for each Fox scalp, the
