Made at LEICESTER, Anno 4 HEN. VI. and A. 2). 1425.
CAP. III.
Justices in certain cases may amend their Records according to former
Statutes.

Item, Whereas at the Parli-
ament holden at Westminster
* the second Day of May, the
ninth Year of the Reign of
King Henry, Father of our
Lord the King that now is, it
was rehearsed, how that at the
Parliament holden at West-
minster the sew Year of King
Edward the third, it was or-
dained by the Authority of
the said Parliament, That for
Misprision of a Clerk, in what-
soever Place it be, no Process
or Plea should be undone nor
discontinued by Oversight in
writing a Letter or Syllable too
much or too little; (2) but as
soon as the thing were per-
ceived by Challenge of the Par-
ties, or in other manner, it
should be hastily amended in
due Form, without giving Ad-
vantage to the Party that chal-
lengeth. the same because of
such Misprison; (3) the said
late King Henry, considering
the Diversities of Opinions
which Men had upon the said
