BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all
and every act or acts of assembly which are limited by law to
continue to the end of the present session of assembly, or which
would expire during the same, or before the end of the next general
assembly, be and they are hereby severally continued until the
thirty-first day of October next, and until the end of the next
session of assembly, unless such as are repugnant to, or inconsistent
with, any law which may have passed, or may pass during
the present session of assembly, and subject to any alterations which
may have been made therein. |

CHAP. C.
An Act authorising the Levy Court of Harford County to levy a sum
of money for the purpose of amending and repairing the
Road

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the
levy court of Harford county be and they are hereby empowered to
assess and levy, on the assessable property in said county, a sum
of money, not exceeding two hundred dollars, for the purpose of
amending and repairing the new road leading from Belle-Air to
Baltimore, so far as the same may lie in Harford county. |

CHAP. CII.
An Act authorising a Lottery to erect suitable Buildings for a School-House
for the accommodation of the Youth of Emmitsburgh, and
its
vicinity, in Frederick County, Lib. TH. No.

Scheme to be proposed. |
1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
it shall and may be lawful for Philip Munamaker, Lewis Motter,
Lewis Weaver, James Hughes, William Emmitt, Henry Williams
and John Haston, or a majority of them, to propose a scheme of a
lottery for raising a sum, not exceeding twelve hundred dollars,
and to sell the tickets in said lottery, provided they, or a majority
of them as shall undertake to act under this law, shall, before the
sale of any ticket or tickets in said lottery, give their bond to the
state of Maryland, in the penalty of two thousand five hundred dollars,
conditioned that they will well and truly apply so much of the
money arising therefrom, within twelve months after the completion
of the drawing of said lottery, as will satisfy the fortunate adventurers
for prizes drawn by them, and after deducting the necessary
expenses incurred in said lottery shall, within eighteen months
after the lottery is drawn, apply the money raised by such lottery
for the purpose of erecting suitable buildings for a school-house in
or near the town of Emmitsburgh. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the
duty of the said
commissioners, before they act as such, to lodge the bond made and
entered into as aforesaid in the office of the clerk of Frederick |
