Time extended for
taking bond of
sheriff. |
LAWS OF MARYLAND.
2. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the time for taking the bond of the sheriff of Montgomery county
be extended to the first day of February next, and that if the said
sheriff shall, at any time before or on the first day of February
next, give a bond, agreeably to the provisions of the said recited
act, the said bond shall have the same effect, to all intents and purposes,
as if the said bond had been taken on or before the time prescribed
by the said law. |

and levy a sum of money for the purposes therein

Preamble. |
WHEREAS it has been represented to this general
assembly, by
the several petitions of James Reewarck and William Cox, of Anne-Arundel
county, that they were soldiers in the late American army,
and that in consequence of wounds which they received while
in the service of their country, they are rendered unable to support
themselves by labour; therefore, |

2. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the levy court of Anne-Arundel county shall be and are hereby directed
and empowered, at their levy court annually, to assess and
levy on said county a sum of money, not exceeding thirty dollars,
for the support and maintenance of each of them the said James
Reewarck and William Cox, and that the same to be collected and
paid annually to the said James Reewarck and William Cox, by the
collector of Anne-Arundel county, agreeable to the order of the levy
court aforesaid. |

and agreed to relinquish the half tolls heretofore conditionally
