    42.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the sixth, seventh and eighth sections
of the act to ascertain the value of the land in the several
counties of this state for the purpose of laying the public assessment,
passed at November session, seventeen hundred and eighty-five,
† shall be and are hereby repealed.

    This act was not to have effect unless assented to by a majority of all the members
of the first branch of the city council, after a new election, in the first session
after such new election, which not having been done, this act is omitted.  See

An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Baltimore County to establish
    two additional Warehouses in the City of Baltimore for the inspection
    of Tobacco.  Lib. JG. No. 4, fol. 492.

112, and 1817, ch. 164.


Passed Jan. 7, 1804.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
justices of the levy court of Baltimore county, or any six of them,
in court sitting, be and they are hereby authorised and required,
upon application made to them, in writing, by any person or persons,
to determine and fix up two situations, the most proper in
the said city, west of Jones's Falls, on the navigable water of the
bason of the said city, and most convenient for the reception and
inspection of tobacco brought by water or land to the said warehouses,
and for delivery of tobacco therefrom, for the purpose of
erecting and building two additional warehouses, for the receipt
and inspection of tobacco, and the determination of the said justices
on each application, whether the same be granted or rejected,
shall be entered on the minutes of their proceedings.
